Brought up in Ghana before moving to Lebanon and having mixed with different cultures and traditions from many corners of the world, Rola Jebeile uses her colorful upbringing in her classrooms when teaching the English language. Having taught English at USJ for over 12 years, with a BA in graphic design and soon an MA in TESOL, from LAU, Jebeile uses this to her advantage when creating lesson plans. The combination of her art background and the English language allows her to integrate many topics of today and yesterday in her class. Rola focuses on the fluency of her students with speaking rather than correcting their English when giving conversational classes. Her passion for teaching and editing makes it easier for her when teaching writing, especially when helping her students stick to certain points to bring out their ideas. Using today’s accurate and trendy words to grab reader’s attentions is her focus when teaching her students to properly present projects and use correct email netiquette.
