Amanda Abi Khalil

Amanda Abi Khalil (Lebanon) is an independent art curator based in Beirut. She has been focusing her curatorial projects on socially engaged practices and exhibitions that critically address modes of production and exhibition in the art world today.  She is the founder of Temporary Art Platform, a curatorial platform that aims to shift artistic and curatorial discourse towards social and contextual concerns in Lebanon through residencies, research projects and public art commissions. Abi Khalil lectures in curating and sociology of arts at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) and the Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut.

Her latest exhibitions include When all seemingly stands still, GreyNoise Dubai, Dust (co-curated with Anna Ptak) at the CCA Warsaw- Ujazdowski Castle, Simple past Perfect futures, Centquatre Paris. She was a nominee of the 2016 ICI’s independent vision curatorial award and a resident at Delfina foundation in 2018.
